Kurs 13928 - Ethernet Part 2: Ethernet Bridging and Switching
Ziele- Identify the advantages of Ethernet bridging, the various types of bridges, and the bridging processes. - Identify Ethernet switching. - Identify how to configure duplex mode and troubleshoot Ethernet errors. - Identify the working of an STP operation and causes of STP operation failure. - Identify VLAN concepts. - Identify trunking modes and VTP concepts.
AnforderungenThe Audience for this course includes technical managers, system administrators, and system analysts. Students should have knowledge of computers and basic networking concepts. In addition, students should have taken the first part of this series (13927).
TitelKurs 13928 - Ethernet Part 2: Ethernet Bridging and Switching
InhaltCourse Overview
This is the second course in a three part series that introduces Ethernet Bridging and Switching. Students will learn the fundamental concepts required to understand transparent bridging operation. This course also includes an in-depth look at the Spanning Tree Protocol. The Ethernet Switching portion of this course covers the fundamental concepts required to understand switching and its benefits over shared and bridged Ethernet. Specific concepts covered include switching and how it compares to bridging, as well as an in-depth look at Virtual LANs and Trunking.
