  • Anforderungen This curriculum is designed for network administrators who are responsible for implementing and troubleshooting WAN and remote access solutions. They desire the knowledge and skills necessary to describe, configure, operate, and troubleshoot these solutions.   • Inhalt Course Description

    This is the first in a four-part curriculum that prepares the learner to take the Building Cisco Remote Access Networks (BCRAN) v2.0 exam. The course starts with coverage of the basics of WAN technologies and components. The areas then covered are: security in expanding networks, the configuration of asynchronous connections, and controlling network access through PPP.

    Unit 2: Configuring Connections using Modems

    - Identify characteristics of modulation and demodulation.
    - Identify features of cabling technologies.
    - Identify modem modulation standards.
    - Identify commands to connect to a modem from a Cisco router.
    - Identify line types used for accessing Cisco routers.
    - Identify functions of line commands used in router async configuration.
    - Identify functions of modem commands.
    - Identify key aspects of automatic modem configuration.
    - Identify functions of commands to configure modem autodiscovery.
    - Identify methods of managing a modem capabilities (modemcap) database.
    - Identify features of commands used in troubleshooting modem autoconfiguration.
    - Identify the commands to configure asynchronous connections with modems in a given scenario.

    Unit 3: PPP - PAP and CHAP

    - Identify features of Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP).
    - Identify commands used to enable Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP).
    - Identify async interface commands for addressing on an asynchronous interface.
    - Identify features of Password Authentication Protocol (PAP) and Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP).
    - Identify the steps that occur during a typical Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) callback exchange.
    - Identify commands used to configure a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) callback server.
    - Identify the steps to enable Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) on a callback client.
    - Identify commands used to enable data compression on a Cisco router.
    - Identify commands used to enable a Multilink Point-to-Point Protocol (MPPP) connection.
    - Identify commands used in Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) troubleshooting.

    Course Access

    Each student has access to the course for a period of 6 months from the day of enrollment in the course.
