Master Degree Programme Business Consultancy International
The Business Consultancy International Master's programme, specialising in International Accounting and Finance aims to develop broad competencies in the areas of auditing, treasury and finance, as well as management and consulting in an international environment. The 2-year programme is taught exclusively in English and prepares students for future leadership positions in accounting and finance with global companies.
Throughout the programme, students acquire in-depth knowledge of a wide range of business skills in addition to specialisation in the areas of accounting and finance. It is envisaged that these courses will build on previous knowledge of business administration, management, economics, law, IT and personal communication skills. In the second and third semesters, the emphasis shifts to the area of specialisation and covers a variety of aspects of auditing, accounting, international taxation, treasury management, risk management and financial markets. In semesters three and four, students will write their master's thesis and will also sit their final examinations of the programme.
Upon graduation, students will receive the degree Master of Arts in Business (M.A.). This is a fully recognised master's degree under the Bologna Accord of the European Union which makes the holder eligible to progress to further study for a Ph.D. degree.
The International Accounting and Finance Masters is a full-time study programme. Lectures and seminars are typically held Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In addition, the faculty uses a variety of learning models such as case studies, small group projects and e-learning to facilitate effective learning outside the classroom.
