    Qualifications in Detail

    - The design, development, and dimensioning of mechatronic systems
    - The static and dynamic description, simulation, and optimization of the mechanical, electronic, and feedback-controlled elements of technical systems
    - The planning and application of data management throughout product life cycles
    - The application of numerical methods for linear and nonlinear analyses and simulations (e.g. FEA - - Finite Elements Analysis, CFD - Computational Fluid Dynamics, MBS - Multi-Body Systems)
    - The application of 5-axis machining
    - The application and optimization of continuous CAD/CAM processes (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing)
    - The application and further development of reverse engineering
    -  The planning, simulation, and control of production facilities and processes, especially those that integrate sensors, electronics, and computer technology in mechatronic units

Our students gain a deeper and broader knowledge in one of the two specializations offered: “Mechatronics in Production” and “Optimization of Mechatronic Systems.”

    Mechatronics in Production:

    - Programming of industrial robot and machine-tool systems and assemblies
    - Calculation of robot kinematics and dynamics
    - Development of intelligent control systems for robots and machine tools
    - Application of image processing and its adaptation to special demands
    - Further development of production processes through the integration of adaptive processes and the combination of various technologies

    Optimization of Mechatronic Systems:

    - Simulation of dynamic product behaviour
    - Simulation of aging behaviour
    - Nonlinear control engineering (e.g. fuzzy controls)
    - Optimization and minimization of resource consumption throughout the whole life cycle
