IT professionals (Network administrators, IT managers, and information security professionals) who want to implement network security measures in a Windows Server 2003 environment and enhance network security, performance, and management should be familiar with the fundamentals of network security and fundamental management and maintenance of a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Windows Server 2003 environment. They should be familiar with Active Directory, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS), Certificate Services, Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS), Routing and Remote Access, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP), Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3), Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), and Secure Socket Layer (SSL). They should also be familiar with implementation and administration of networks and operating systems.
