International Management
The Master's degree programme in „International Management“ is a four semester graduate programme leading to a Master of Arts in International Management (MIM). It is aimed at students with a completed undergraduate degree (a minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent) in business administration or a similar area, ideally in international business such as our own undergraduate program in International Business ("Management Internationaler Geschäftsprozesse").
Areas of Emphasis
The program, which is instructed fully in English by internationally experienced professors, gives students a sound education in international management, with a focus on international dimensions of strategic management and international market entry. Each of the first three semesters has a clear focus and includes 18 hours of classes per week, and in the fourth semester students have to complete a thesis requirement:
Semester 1: Fundamentals of International Business
Semester 2: International Marketing, Sales and Distribution
Semester 3: International Management and Strategy
Semester 4: Thesis
In all of the emphasis areas, students will learn how to combine the fundamentals of operations in international business with the strategic perspective necessary for managers and firms operating in a global environment.

The Master's degree program in “International Management“* is a four semester graduate program leading to the Austrian degree “Magister / Magistra (FH)”, equivalent to a Master's degree. It is aimed at students with a completed undergraduate degree (a minimum of a bachelor degree or equivalent) in business administration or a similar area. Building upon the foundations of an undergraduate degree in business, the program in International Management aims at developing the managerial and strategic skills of its participants. Students will not only receive a thorough introduction to the fundamentals of international business, but they will also have the opportunity to acquire specific knowledge and skills in the areas of International Marketing, Sales and Distribution as well as International Management and International Strategy. At the end of the program, students will be able to formulate and implement successful strategies for international markets.
Career Prospects
Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers in companies which do business internationally, ranging from exports, licensing and joint ventures to foreign subsidiaries. Graduates with limited work experience will be working in entry-level managerial positions with an emphasis on foreign market entry, global sourcing, or the management of foreign operations. Graduates with prior multiple years of work experience will be prepared for a future career as managers in positions with increased responsibility.
